Tracking Progress with Fitness Tests

Tracking progress is so important and as well as monitoring measurements and weight, we also do fitness tests. Hurray I hear you shout!

We do fitness tests in week 1, week 5 and week 8 of the Kickstart programme. It’s the bit that everyone dreads (me included) but it’s never as bad as you think it’s going to be and it’s great for motivation.

So many people start the programme wanting to lose weight but it quickly becomes about so much more. Increased fitness levels = better muscle tone, increased energy and lots of endorphins.Definitely more life changing than what numbers on a scale say!

It really doesn’t matter what your starting point is, it only matters that you start.

Not going to lie, I was a bit gutted with how weak I felt doing my fitness tests- especially with my press ups. But I’m now determined to beat all my scores in week 5 and again in week 8. There’s also no point comparing my body to what I could do pre-pregnancy. My body is different and this is where I am now. Onwards and upwards ?
