Stretch and relax…look after your mind, body and soul

So I’ve reached day 7 of my Kickstart programme…1 week down, 7 to go! I started the day with a healthy smoothie and today’s workout- stretch and relax ?

It’s been far too long since I’ve taken the time to have a decent stretch and it felt bloody amazing! Such a lovely way to start the day. It left me feeling super calm and chilled. I think I might repeat it tonight before bed!

I tend to prefer high impact exercise that leaves me absolutely knackered…because that’s when I get the biggest rush of endorphins and I love a bit of aching ??

But spending 20 mins or so stretching and reconnecting with my body has been so important.

It’s reminded me that looking after your health is a balance. Sometimes the best thing you can do for yourself is to have some quiet time out. Even James lay quietly next to me chilling out ?

See if you can take some time out for yourself today. It doesn’t have to be a stretch and relax session- it can be whatever makes you happy and gives you a moment of calm…listen to music, meditate, have a bath, read a couple of chapters of a book, go for a walk. Look after yourself mind, body and soul ?
