Monday morning and the start of another week. Boo.

BUT this Monday is more exciting than most because in 2 weeks it will be Christmas day! YEY!

Just one more working Monday to get through next week  before it’s holiday time (for most of us…sorry to anyone working over Christmas!)

So let’s get your Monday off to the best start possible with today’s advent challenge….

Interval training!

We are going to do 11 minutes (because it’s the 11th!)….just 11 minutes out your day. You can do it!

Interval training is where you go between a fast pace to a slower pace. It burns 3x more calories than just jogging so is perfect if you are short on time.

If you are a BEGINNER, do this today: 

1 minute WALK followed by 30 seconds JOG (fast enough so you get out of breath)

Repeat 7 times and then slowly walk for a couple of minutes after until your breathing is back to normal

 

If you have been exercising for a little while but struggle with running, do this: 

1 minute SLOW JOG followed by 30 seconds FAST JOG (you should get to the end of the 30 seconds feeling out of breath)

Repeat 7 times and then slowly walk for a couple of minutes after until your breathing is back to normal

 

If you already run quite regularly, try this: 

1 minute NORMAL JOG followed by 30 seconds SPRINT (really push it in the fast section)

Repeat 7 times and then slowly walk for a couple of minutes after until your breathing is back to normal
